A bucket and a towel will limit the ceiling damage while you wait.
Take a photo of where it is dripping and note roughly when it started: during rain, after wind, and so on.
Avoid going up in wet or dark conditions. Leave the inspection to us.
We start inside. A loft inspection with a torch and moisture meter shows us where the water is tracking and, more usefully, where it is dry, which narrows the entry point down fast. Then we check at roof level, using a drone or pole camera on anything hard to reach safely.
You get a written report with photos before any repair is quoted, so you can see the actual fault rather than take our word for it.
Active leak? Call and we will get someone out, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
Water often travels along timber before it shows, so the source can be several feet from the stain. A loft inspection usually finds it.
Sudden storm damage often is; gradual wear and tear usually is not. We can provide a written report to support a claim either way.
Most single-source leaks, one damaged flashing point or a handful of tiles, cost £150–£450 to fix. We will confirm on-site.
